DESCRIPTION:As part of the D Day celebration on Sunday June 9th\, Wythall Tennis Club are opening their courts to the community. The courts will be open from 12 noon until 5pm. \nIf required\, rackets are available FOC. So come and enjoy a hit with one of our coaches or volunteers. Whether you are 4yrs or 80yrs come and join in. \nA tennis historian is bringing wooden rackets from the 1940’s onwards for anyone to try. \nExperience hitting a tennis ball with rackets from a bygone age.

SUMMARY:Celebration in the Park
DESCRIPTION:The D Day 80th Anniversary Celebration and Family Day at Wythall Park on Sunday June the 9th (from midday to midnight!) promises to be a fabulous day. \nLots and lots going on\, including the following in Park Hall (unless otherwise stated): \n\n\n\n\n\n2.00pm – Wythall Community Choir (Britannia Room)\n2.00pm Fun in The Park – games\, craft\, chat and fun for children of all ages\n4.00pm – Cheswick Green Ukulele Orchestra\n5.00pm – The Kings Norton Youth Marching Band (Wythall Park)\n5.30pm – Cheswick Green Ukulele Orchestra\n7.00pm – The Boogaloo Babes\n7.45pm – Salsa demonstration and free class\n8.30pm – The Boogaloo Babes\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlso available:\n\nDobson’s Fair\nExhibitions from Wythall History Society and\nWythall Parish Council (Britannia Room)\nVintage Buses from Wythall Transport Museum\nTea and Cakes from Pearls of Wythall WI\n\n\n\n\n\n… and finishing with one of our celebrated fireworks displays (9:30pm)! \nWythall Transport Museum will have vintage buses in the car park\, Wythall History Society and Wythall Parish Council both have exhibitions in the Britannia Room\, plus lots of food and craft stalls on the Park. And bars in Park Hall (from 3.30pm) and The Community Club (from noon). \nWe also have Dobson’s fair to keep everyone entertained in between times! \nWe need volunteers (you must be over 18 years of age) to help marshal the event from noon (set up) through to 10pm (firework finish). You WILL NOT be security\, you are just there to help visitors find their way around the Park\, to ensure they don’t miss out on anything! Sign up for any shifts you can do\, and those you can do ‘if pushed’. We promise not to take advantage of your good nature and will ‘spread the load’ of the shifts over all of the volunteers. \nI’d like to volunteer – CLICK HERE!
